Rosacea:

Almost always affects the face only
Is associated with
- Pimples (pustules)
- Papules (small bumps)
- Telangiectasia (enlarged or broken capillaries)
- A tendency to flush or blush easily
Sometimes may cause enlargement of the nose (rhinophyma)
Is commonly mistaken as a sign of alcoholism
Is most common in persons with fair skin and northern european heritage

General Measures:

Sunlight makes rosacea worse
Avoid the sun and use a good sunscreen
Some foods such as caffeine (coffee, tea), hot drinks, alcohol and spicy foods may make rosacea worse
- Consuming them in moderation or avoiding them may help
